Generally speaking, for City of Chicago building code
violations, most hearings are held at 400 West Superior or at the Daley Center
in Chicago. At a Chicago building code violation hearing, both sides present
their case to the administrative hearing officer (the judge). The City of
Chicago will have an attorney working hard on their behalf. There is no doubt
that they will be ready to present their case, so if you need representation,
contact us as soon as possible. The fines can easily be $500 per day, per
violation!
We help homeowners every day with their
building code violations. Call Attorney Bradford Miller today at

I dont know what to do with this property....
I received a call last week from a man who was cited by the City of Chicago for a variety of violations. He told me that he had enough, he did not want to deal with this property anymore. He was not making any money and now he had to deal with all of these violations.
After a free phone consultation, we decided it was best if he sold the property. He owed approx. $135,000 on his mortgage but the property was only worth about $110,000. He did not have the money to make up the difference. We decided the best option was to do a short sale. A short sale will allow him to sell the home with the bank taking the loss.
To learn more about short sales, call my office for a free consultation. My office charges no legal fees for homeowners seeking a short sale.
