The City of Chicago, Buildings Hearing Division hears cases initiated from the Building, Fire and Zoning Departments.

Common cases are building code violations such as safety, structural, plumbing, and/or electrical problems, fire code violations such as insufficient exits, fire extinguishers and firetrap buildings and, zoning code violations such as illegal construction/conversions without a proper permit.
